Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark on South Padre Island, Texas
The 2008 season begins April 1st. 10:00 AM. The Shrimp Haus Restaurant is open year-round. Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark is located next to Isla Blanca Park on South Padre Island. It offers over a dozen water rides, including surf waves, chutes, slides, and a number of kid-friendly activities, including a five-story sandcastle. One of the major attractions on the island it also is home of the Shrimp Haus and Sports Bar that features live music with Chuck & Leslie. HOT TIP! To avoid crowds on peak weekends, come early or late in the season. Weekends in April, May, early June, late August, September and October are less crowded than Saturdays in July and early August.
