The Whaling Wall Wyland's Whaling Wall #53 "Orcas off the Gulf of Mexico" mural spans three walls of the convention center on the Island of South Padre. Spanning 153 feet in length and 23 feet in height, it took over 111 gallons of paint, 100 volunteers, and nearly four days to complete. The mural was dedicated on March 14th, 1994. Schlitterbahn Beach Waterpark From the Queen Isabella Causeway head south (turn right from bridge) and go about ¾ of a mile. The park entrance will be on the left side, across from Sea Ranch, and one block before the Isla Blanca Park entrance.
