Restaurants on South Padre Island are as varied as they are original. Many of the places to eat on South Padre will offer a comfortable variety of good dishes along with a full bar. Catching your own fresh fish and having it prepared in a restaurant is a South Padre Island tradition. It can be prepared in any combination of ways you like, fried, blackened, baked, tampico, and will usually come with fries, salad and sauces. You will need to clean, fillet and portion the fish before you bring it to the restaurant. They do not clean fish. These services are limited for fresh fish only; health codes restrict all shellfish from being provided by the public
